Edward Lyen at Mile 20 I can see now why Ed complained that his tush was sore after 100 miles. The bike is ill-fitting, causing him to sit too upright on a saddle not designed for sitting upon with full weight. The cockpit is also too cramped, as can be seen by his curved back. The saddle also looks too low.

A remarkably good-natured Jessica Arndt showing off her fresh battle scars. I came upon Jessica shortly after she took a tumble while descending Wildcat Canyon Rd. at the adjacent hairpin curve--damp tar. We later discovered that both of her tires had low pressure, probably a contributing factor. She abandoned the ride and returned to her car in the company of Mark Homrighausen and Ernesto Montenero before visiting her local urgent care clinic to be checked for any unseen damage and to get patched up.
