A shy but curious coyote in Shingle Mill Gulch (1040ft) This guy crossed the road in front of me. He leapt up the right-hand hillside. I stopped. He stopped to turn and look at me. I only got one chance to snap the picture as the flash startled him, and he immediately ran off. Looks like an older coyote from the gray on its muzzle.
